Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the generous portions at Wrexham Fish Bar, especially the cod and chips, which pack a punch in flavor at a very reasonable price. The friendly and attentive staff members significantly enhance the dining experience, making each visit feel welcoming and personal. People often highlight the lively atmosphere, which is a perfect blend of casual dining and fast food convenience, ideal for both locals and visitors alike.

Another common highlight is the cleanliness of the establishment, making it an inviting spot to enjoy delicious comfort food. Plus, patrons often remark on the delightful flavor of the mushy peas and the exceptional quality of the batter on the fish, adding to the overall enjoyment of their meals.

Most Disliked

One noted drawback at Wrexham Fish Bar is its cash-only policy, which has left some guests scrambling to find an ATM nearby. Though the prices are reasonable, this method may cause inconvenience for those who prefer to use cards. Additionally, a few patrons have mentioned slower service during peak dining hours, particularly for smaller portions, although the quality of food often makes up for the wait.

Some customers express a desire for a more extensive dessert menu, as the offerings are limited compared to other venues. Despite these points, many agree that the positives far outweigh the negatives, and the delicious food keeps them coming back.

Great chippy, only downside side is they don't take cards. Had cod and chips (takeaway not the cafe), really generous portion for £8.20. Fish was delicious and lovely crisp batter, chips were good too. Short wait while the fish was cooked fresh. Staff very friendly. Would definitely eat here again of we're in the area, and would recommend

Popped in on a craving for chips. Had a sit down in the restaurant. It took longer than expected for a single small portion of chips, but they were the best I've ever had. Amazing quality and great value too. The place itself was very clean and staff were very polite. Felt very welcoming too. Really enjoyed it and definitely will go again.

We had lunch here whilst on holiday in Wrexham this weekend. The food was lovely and amazing value for money! We were most blown away by the phenomenal staff and service. They were so so friendly to everyone who entered the building. Super attentive to everyone’s needs and seemed like just genuinely nice people. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Great chippy .. We had a sit down meal and it was excellent. The eating area is spotlessly clean. There is a menu but you can order any combination of food that you would in the take away part. Its table service but when you have finished you pay at the counter.
